Live spectral mask

No masks yet. Choose Mask tool and drag a rectangle over the spectrogram.
Mask changes update what you hear during playback. Audio stays on this device.

Drag a rectangle to select time and frequency. Move it or drag its corner handles. Shift-drag adds a region. Drag on the waveform for a time-only mask. Masks affect all playback channels, with gentle edges to reduce clicks.

01

Find the fine detail

Zoom into time and frequency to inspect harmonics and short events. Each zoom is calculated again from the audio. Increase the FFT size to separate close frequencies; use a smaller size to sharpen timing.

02

Read the colors

Time runs left to right, frequency runs bottom to top, and brighter colors mean stronger sound. Increase brightness to reveal quiet sounds. The readout shows peak windowed amplitude in dBFS.
