How to convert a website to ZIP
Save a browsable snapshot for design reviews, reference material, or checking your own pages away from the live site. Start with a public URL you have permission to capture.
-
Enter the website URL
Paste the full address, including
https://, into the tool above. Choose the page you want the capture to start from. -
Choose your capture settings
Set the page limit, crawl depth, and render wait. Keep the same-domain option enabled to focus on the selected website.
-
Capture and check progress
Select Capture Website. The job status shows visited pages and saved assets while the browser renders pages and collects accessible files.
-
Download the ZIP archive
When the capture completes, review the screenshot preview and select Download ZIP. Extract the archive before opening the saved pages.
Control what the downloader captures
Pages, depth, and render wait
Max pages caps the number of pages visited. Max depth controls how far the crawler follows links from the starting page. Render wait gives browser scripts time to load content before capture; a longer wait can help with slower pages.
Links and external assets
Same-domain crawling keeps page discovery focused on one site. External asset downloading includes accessible resources served from other hosts, such as a CDN. Auto-scroll helps trigger images and other content that load as a page moves into view.
Guest captures support up to 5 pages, a depth of 2, and a render wait of 2,000 milliseconds. An account unlocks higher limits; the tool shows the options available to your account.
What is included in a website download?
The capture collects rendered HTML and available client-side assets, including images, stylesheets, and JavaScript where accessible. Screenshots let you review the captured appearance. The result is a snapshot of the pages reached within your chosen limits.
A website ZIP is not a complete server backup. It cannot download private databases, server-side source code, or files the website does not expose. Login requirements, anti-bot protections, failed requests, and live APIs can prevent parts of a site from being captured or working locally.
Extract and view the saved pages
Unzip the download into a folder and keep its directory structure intact. Open a saved HTML page in your browser. Some pages need a local web server because browsers restrict scripts or resource requests opened directly from disk. Check important pages before relying on the snapshot: forms, search, checkout, and other services may still need the original website and an internet connection.

Website to ZIP FAQs
Can I download a website without installing software?
Yes. Submit a URL in this browser-based tool and download the completed ZIP. You need an internet connection for the capture and an archive extractor to unpack the files.
Can I convert a website to ZIP for free?
You can start a guest capture within the guest limits shown above. Create an account to access higher capture limits.
Does the ZIP contain every page on the website?
Only pages the crawler discovers and can access within the page and depth limits are captured. Unlinked pages, protected areas, and content behind interactive workflows may be missed.
Can it capture websites that use JavaScript?
Pages are rendered in a real browser to capture content produced by JavaScript. Render wait and auto-scroll can help, but content that requires a login or specific interactions may remain unavailable.
Will the downloaded website work offline?
Captured HTML and saved assets may be viewable offline. Features that call a live service, stream content, or depend on server-side processing can still require internet access.
Why are images or styles missing from my capture?
Resources may be blocked, fail to load, or appear after the capture finishes. Try enabling external assets and auto-scroll, increasing render wait within your limits, and checking the starting URL.
